Instant messaging platform WhatsApp introduced UPI payments a few months back. It has bundled messaging and payments together on a single platform. With its help, users can easily send and receive money to their friends, family and everyone they know. WhatsApp is allowing its users to send cash in one click without downloading any additional apps and filling up the phone’s storage.
WhatsApp UPI Payment Feature
The WhatsApp UPI payment feature allows users to transfer money with the convenience of messaging. All you have to do is tap on the “icon” while chatting with your contact. One has to scan a QR code to initiate the UPI payment. Let us know that there are more than 20 million QR-code-enabled stores available in India. If you haven’t enabled WhatsApp UPI payments yet, you can set up payments on WhatsApp today in the chat interface window.
How to Increase UPI Payments on WhatsApp
First open WhatsApp and then open the chat of the person to whom you want to transfer money.
Click on the icon available in the message bar at the bottom.
Now click on your age payment method and then click on “Add Bank Account”.
After that select the bank in which you have your savings account.
Then verify your phone number. For this you must have your registered mobile number in your phone.
Also, this registered mobile number should be same as WhatsApp number. If this happens, WhatsApp will verify it automatically.
After that add bank account. Now you will be able to send and receive money through WhatsApp registered mobile number.
After that click on continue. Now your bank can process UPI payment through WhatsApp.
Now enter the amount you want to send.
After that enter your UPI PIN set for the registered bank and click on send payment.
